Hate to say this, but... I've read six of the ten on the list, and I have to say that they are fantastic and I would recommend them to *anyone* to read, not just girls.
And yes, it was actually my boyfriend who loaned me Blankets, but not because he was "trying to get me to read comic books" (because believe me I have a leg way up on him!) but because he breathlessly recommended it as "the most fantastic first-love-coming-of-age-story I've ever read."
Why couldn't they have just labeled it "Ten Really Awesome Comic Books for Anybody?"
(As an aside, through a link on the bottom of the article I found their wretched "Top Ten Shojo Manga" article, in which they deliberately seemed to pick out the most banal, idiotic, and mysogynistic titles available. And Love Hina isn't even shoujo.)

So, should I just start reposting this old thing whenever another one of those articles shows up?
Yes, and mail it to them!
They really have all the cliche "girl friendly" books, don't they?
And has it really reached the point where even Wonder Woman is not considered to be a comic that would be of any interest to a female audience?
